World-Class Compression

The Blossom is identical to the Bloom in terms of compression circuitry and is based on the green channel (Country mode, though it excels at far more styles than its name implies) of its sibling. Classic Optical Design

Jackson Audio have used a optical limiting circuit for the Blossom, which is inspired by units from the prime era of valve-based compressors such as the prized LA-2A. At midday, the EQ knob produces a totally flat response. As you start to turn the EQ knob clockwise, you reduce low frequencies whilst the high frequencies become more pronounced - perfect for when you want to emphasise clarity and note definition. The inverse is true as you rotate the EQ control the other way, the bass is increased and treble is reduced, which is useful when tempering particularly bright tones.

Extra Headroom

You can run Jackson Audio’s Blossom at either a traditional 9V or at 18V, which provides additional dynamic response and headroom.
