Laney CUB-SUPER12 15W 1x12 Combo Overview

The Laney CUB-SUPER12 is a great sounding boutique style ALL-TUBE amp. Featuring an ergonomic, straight ahead single channel, with three band EQ plus a dynamic, footswitchable BOOST function. The CUB-SUPER12 features a footswitchable on-board reverb powered by the highly acclaimed spring reverb algorithm from the Black Country Custom SECRETPATH pedal. Loaded with a custom designed and voiced HH 12” driver the CUB-SUPER12 delivers 15 watts of pure CLASS AB tube and features the ability to be run at <1 Watt by plugging into the <1 Watt input. The CUB-SUPER12 is loaded with 3 hand selected 12AX7 tubes in the preamp and a pair of EL84 output tubes in the output section. The CUB-SUPER12 is loaded with an insert style FX loop and external speaker socket.

I’m been looking for a small valve combo, but couldn’t really afford a Fender and I don’t like small Blackstars, so this seemed a good choice. So impressed. The 12” speaker makes such a difference to the sound and response. The controls are simple and it has everything you need, a really good reverb and a great boost switch which really gives the crunch tone you’d expect. The 1w and 15w function is a great idea, 1w is so useable, breaking up at a sensible volume. The amp’s nice looking and seems very well put together. Sounds good with humbuckers or single coils. It does everything I want really well, highly recommended.

Great raucous amp I'm playing a solid bodied electric uke through it, yet to try a guitar, maybe i could get a cleaner sound..if so full mark's.

Encouraged by various reviews, I took the plunge and bought this little amp. I have been absolutely astonished at how good it is. At household volume, it sounds like a very classy, fully cranked up valve amp. It is warm and versatile, either clean or with tons of grunt - for both single coils and humbuckers. My guitars have never sounded so good !
