The flagship model of the incredibly successful Maui series, the LD Systems Maui 44 offers a massive 1600W (RMS) output power with a frequency response of 40Hz - 20kHz, making it suitable for a vast array of applications from individual musicians, full band gigs, permanent installations, DJ's and many more

The system is made up of 2 aluminium vertical array columns and a dual driver subwoofer. Proprietary multi-pin mounting and connectors mean that the various parts simply slot together, allowing the complete system to be set up in moments. The 15mm birch ply construction of the sub woofer makes for an exceptionally sturdy base and contains 2x 12" neodymium drivers which really push the bottom end. The amazingly detailed and musical sound of the Maui 44 is completed by the vertical arrays which house 16x 3.5" neodymium drivers divided into 4 frequency bands as well as 2x 1" high-frequency Celestion drivers for a crystal clear top-end.

Connecting to the LD Systems Maui 44 couldn't be easier with both unbalanced RCA connections and balanced XLR / 1/4" jack combo sockets provided, covering all the bases. The balanced XLR line outputs duplicate the input signals for connection to any further external systems, extra speakers such as a second Maui 44 or recording devices. For even bigger gigs where extra support may be need for the low end, a dedicated slave sub out allow connection of the purpose-built LD Systems Maui 44 SE - an auxiliary sub woofer designed to perfectly complement the Maui 44 system which can be positioned either next to the main sub or even directly underneath the original array by positioning the feet of the original subwoofer directly into the 4 perfectly fitting recesses on top of the Maui 44SE. The 2 main controls on the system are the main volume control and the sub volume control which adjusts balance between of the sub output in relation to the main mix. Once set, that balance is maintained though any changes made to the main volume.

As if the outstanding sound, blisteringly fast setup speeds, and efficient, lightweight class D amplifiers of the Maui 44 weren't enough on their own, the amazing sound quality is further polished by on-board digital signal processing. The Maui 44 features the LD Systems LECC DSP with automatic multi-band limiters, EQ, compressors and crossover, optimised specifically for the LD Systems Maui 44 to ensure the best possible, distortion-free sound from the system in any situation. In addition - integrated heat-sinks in the vertical arrays and protection circuits to prevent overcurrent, short circuits or overvoltage, guarantee safe and reliable operation.
