Stereo 2-Way Mode
The most common use for smaller PA systems, the stereo 2-way mode gives you 2 independent channels both with input gain controls as well as separate output level controls for low and high frequencies. For occasions where you only use one sub, you can even use the BASS SUM function to combine the 2 low frequency outputs to a single mono output, making sure you don't miss a thing!

Mono 3-Way Mode
Used with larger PA setups with separate subs, mids and tops requiring 2 crossover points per speaker stack, the mono 3-way mode reorganises the functions of the X223, with Channel 1 becoming the control for low frequencies and Channel 2 controlling the mid and high frequencies. The XOVER FREQUENCY control on Channel 1 separates the lows and mids, while the same control on Channel 2 separates the mids and highs.
