For £240 (GAK) this was positively ludicrous value for money. OK, in an A/B blind test, the sounds aren’t going to match up to those emulated, and may not actually sound anything like them at all. Frankly I don’t care! With relatively little work, the sounds from this thing are eminently usable - even some of the pre programmed stuff. Add to this the iPad programming and cloud library and you have a really great amp with bags of power and incredible versatility. In the context of its cost, there are some absolutely cracking sounds available, it weighs in at considerably less than half the weight of my main gear, and is easily capable of doing the same job in a live setting, which is where it’s now going to be used! I purchased this as a practise amp, but I got something which will almost certainly supersede my main gigging rig! For working musicians this type of gear is a no brainer- compact, versatile, lightweight, more than good enough sounding and cheap as chips! Try a cost-benefit analysis on that!
