The LIVE houses a powerful system beneath its moulded enclosure, 150 watts of total power drives an array that includes a high-output 6" woofer and dual tweeters. Having been meticulously tested and tweaked by Mackie's experienced engineering team, the FreePlay LIVE features an enhanced low-end and headroom seldom found within a speaker in the same price range. The LIVE produces distortion-free deep bass tones and crystal clear highs even at high volumes, making it perfect for situations where larger spaces require more power and performance. The LIVE can also be tethered to a secondary FreePlay speaker for a wider stereo sound or split as two separate sources for a multi-room listening experience.
The FreePlay LIVE can last for up to 15 hours on its built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery, or by connecting it to a power source via AC. The LIVE is portable but it's also very tough, featuring a matte black durable moulded enclosure, hard coated metal grille and a robust internal construction that keeps all the most important key component safe during transportation and from the elements.
