Marshall MG15CF Carbon 15W 1x8 Combo Overview

The Marshall MG15CF practice amp is part of the MG "Carbon" Series from Marshall. Based around the MG Series, but in a new harder wearing livery, the MG Carbon series is made-up of great, amazingly comprehensive, amps for everything from practice to gigging.

This powerful little unit produces the type of tone other amplifiers can only try to imitate. By developing reliable high quality solid-state analogue circuitry and combining it with the flexibility of digital control the Marshall MG15CF provides access to a vast range of quality tonal options.

The Marshall MG15CF features 15 Watts of power and a bigger speaker than it's smaller MG10CF sibling, to give you added punch, power, and bottom-end. The Marshall MG15CF also has the added benefit of a 3 stage EQ, like the ones that can be found on Marshalls throughout history. Independent Bass Middle and Treble controls provide the ability to fine tune every aspect of your tone to your own personal taste.

The MG15CF is designed to knock out all of its similarly sized competitors, and most of the bigger contenders to the Marshall crown for that matter too.

Great little amp. There are models with more features but this does everything needed for a beginner. I like the input for a phone so can play along to stuff.

I have given 2 stars because I was personally disappointed. I play clean and the hiss level was crazy loud. I phoned Marshall before returning to GAK and they said this was a hissy amp, more for the heavy boys. I didn't see that in any reviews or utube demo's which I spent a lot of time pouring over before ordering as I'm disabled and it's easier to shop online. I had an MG10 which was very quite, can't believe the MG15 can be this hissy.
