Moog are one of the all-time synth icons and their instruments have featured on a jaw-dropping list of classic recordings. The Moog Sound Studio range harkens back to their modular roots and the innovative sonic experimentation that’s associated with it.
Two Synths Are Better Than One
Both versions of the MSS come with the award-winning DFAM (or Drummer From Another Mother). DFAM is an analogue percussion synth that’s capable of generating potent, self-contained grooves thanks to its onboard step-sequencer. Its tactile and immediate interface is a joy to use and invites sonic exploration. Whilst it excels at creating patterns and beats, the DFAM can pull off melodic patches too. Like the Mother-32 & Subharmonicon, the DFAM also boasts a patch bay, which can be used to greatly expand the range of sounds it can produce.
Versatile Mixer
A key part of this bundle is the 4-input analogue summing mixer (1/4" in, 1/8" stereo out). The built-in 3-way power distribution hub allows you to conveniently power both synths from the same power source. There’s also selectable stereo or mono configurations, so you have flexible routing options if you need them. The included instrument cables have been made to visually complement the overall system and have a specific length to prevent clutter.
Interactive Rack
Giving the Moog Sound Studio its classy, old-school look is the 2-Tier Rack Kit. This Kit allows you to stack the DFAM, M-32/Subharmonicon and summing mixer into one interconnected system. Not only does this save space in your studio, it vertically orients the synths - which is ideal when patching them together!
Neat & Tidy
Helping you keep your Moog Sound Studio in order is the handy Cable Organiser. The Organiser keeps your patch cables tidy and mounts to either the top of the rack or onto a wall so you have instant access to them when you need to experiment. The MSS comes with a set of custom patch cables, which feature specially chosen colours, lengths and quantities for optimal patching.
