Debuting in 1976, the StingRay bass quickly earned its place as an iconic instrument in the annals of bass guitar history. It was the inaugural four-string production bass to incorporate onboard active equalization. Serving as the pinnacle of the Music Man bass lineup, the modern StingRay remains unchanged from its inception over four decades ago. It retains its robust, road-ready construction, robust hardened steel bridge, classic oval pickguard, 3+1 tuning key arrangement, and the ever-popular Music Man humbucking pickup. The amalgamation of these elements results in an instrument with a look, feel, and tone that is undeniably distinctive.
