Phil Jones Bass Session 77 100W Compact Bass Combo
PJB Phil Jones Bass Session 77
Small practice amp that can be used live
100W, Speaker: 2 x 7” Propietary PJB woofer + 3” Tweeter, AUX-In,
The Session 77 is remarkably affordable 100W bass combo from PJB. By using all digital circuitry, the amp will work on any AC voltage from 100 to 260 Volts without a voltage selector. It features a single channel pre amp with a 3-band EQ. It also has a separate auxiliary input for backing tracks.
The combination of the two proprietary 7 inch speakers and a 3 inch tweeter gives full range reproduction of all basses with stellar clarity. The Session 77 is the result of our effort to build a budget conscious amp without giving up our quest for quality. Focusing on the most basic needs of most bass players, we achieved the goal of having the best sounding, most reliable amp at an unbeatable price.

Really tidy little powerful bass amp nice an easy set up an away you go but a thought little bit pricey
This combo bass amp has a beautifully clean sound. If you're looking for an amp that adds it's own character look elsewhere. This was a big upgrade from my old 15w line 6 practice amp and allows either the bass or the HX Stomp to dictate the sound I hear. Sounds good with an electric guitar too if you turn down the bass EQ.
Buying something like this online is always a bit of a gamble but my bass sounds great through this and there's enough oomf for the small venues I would use it for (if there were any not closed down by Covid-19!).
Having been a full time Pro bass player for most of my life, I would never have trusted a small compact bass combo amp with 7” inch speakers to deliver much depth or weight. However......I was wrong! This amazing combo gives me full depth and tone playing on flat wound bass strings with my jazz trio. The build is solid and robust and looks really good. Sound is very natural and clear. An excellent buy that I’m much more than happy with.
Superb bass amp. Great with double bass and bass guitar. Would highly recommend
