Since it's initial introduction in 1985, the PRS Custom 24 was the first instrument designed and built by Paul Reed Smith. The design has been refined over the past 30 years into the instantly recognisable guitar that is the 2016 Custom 24. Used the world over by renowned international touring musicians, artists and aspiring players, the Custom 24 is the perfect blend of beauty and functionality. Crafted from the finest tonewoods and built to the highest standards, the Custom 24 is an incredibly versatile instrument, largely due to the 85/15 humbuckers which were personally designed by Paul Reed Smith and offer remarkable clarity and extended low and high end frequencies. The 5 way blade switch provides a multitude of tones which cover all genres and playing styles. The 2016 Custom 24 features a PRS patented Gen II tremelo system, offering perfect intonation and excellent sustain.

The Wood Library range of guitars by PRS are made using Tonewoods that are usually only available for Private Stock guitars. This particular guitar features a lightweight Swamp Ash back and an amazing quilted Maple top. The neck is made from one piece flame Maple, topped off with an Ebony fingerboard. 

Specially appointed to commemorate the 2016 Experience PRS event, the Experience PRS 2016 Custom 24-08 adds a new control layout to this classic model. The Experience PRS 2016 Custom 24-08 features a 3-way blade switch and two mini-toggle coil split switches. This simple and intuitive switching system, also featured on the PRS 408 model, allows for eight distinct pickup combinations that offer players additional tonal possibilities. The 85/15 Multi-Tap pickups, paired with this control layout, provide a full array of humbucker tones and single-coil sounds unlike any other PRS. Special appointments include a Gaboon ebony fretboard with “old school” green abalone bird inlays and a Gaboon ebony headstock veneer with a “pre-factory” small eagle inlay (uniquely featured on Experience PRS limited runs). The Experience PRS 2016 Custom 24-08 is very limited with only 50 instruments will be available worldwide!
