I bought this 10" tom drum head to replace the one that my cat scratched to shreds. I was hoping for a nice, warm sound that would blend well with my other drums. Well, let me tell you, this drum head exceeded my expectations. It sounds amazing! It has a rich, deep tone that resonates beautifully. It also has a great response and feel. It’s easy to tune and stays in tune for a long time. I love playing it and hearing it. But there’s one problem. My cat loves it too. He thinks it’s his new scratching post. He can’t get enough of it. He claws at it every chance he gets. He even sleeps on it sometimes. He’s ruining my new drum head! I’ve tried everything to stop him: spraying him with water, putting foil on the drum, hiding the drum under a blanket. Nothing works. He always finds a way to get on it.
