The Roland DP603 is a slim and stylish piano, perfect for modern living spaces. With a footprint of just 1398mm x 377mm x 975mm, it can fit the flow of even the smallest of households.

We have found the DP Series especially popular with those that live in apartments, flats and modern homes. What makes the DP603 such a clever addition to your home, is the flat lid once closed. This makes the piano double up as a desk or sideboard when not in use.

You can even connect your flatscreen TV via Bluetooth or plug a cable directly into the piano and make use of the powerful Soundbar Speaker System.

The compact footprint doesn’t mean you compromise on sound or feel. The Roland DP603 includes the premium PHA-50 key action and SuperNATURAL sound engine found in the Roland GP607 Grand Piano.

Premium Wooden Action

The Roland DP603 features the phenomenal PHA-50 progressive hammer-action keyboard. The keys are made of durable composite materials, that are textured to feel like ebony/ivory. Each individual key has its own specific weight, getting lighter from left to right, just like an Acoustic Grand Piano.

The PHA-50 is the perfect key action for even the most advanced pianist, as the keys also feature Escapement. When softly depressing a key, you will feel a “notch” halfway down. This allows for the hammer to pivot off of a secondary point, giving you the response to play quieter dynamics. Again, this is a feature found on Grand Piano Actions.

The sides of each white key are dressed with an attractive wood finish, which will not swell or split. There are also stabilising pins to prevent unwanted sideways movement of the keys.

Modelled Piano Engine

To add to the immense detail Roland have undergone to offer the same experience as playing an acoustic piano, the DP603 includes a modelled sounds engine.

Roland has meticulously analysed the behaviour of an Acoustic Piano, studying in detail the complex characteristics of how the sound evolves. Everything from dynamic range, harmonic content or even the physical mechanical noises are included with the SuperNATURAL Piano Modelling Engine.

You can choose between 4 different Grand Pianos within the DP603:

• Concert Grand - An American Grand Piano, which has a fantastic balance of Brightness and Mellowness across the dynamic range.
• Mellow Grand - A European Grand, sitting more on the mellow side. It is perfect for moody classical pieces or ambient jazz music.
• Ballad Grand - This is another European Grand, with a delicate sound for the most emotional of piano performances.
• Bright Grand - This is a Japanese style Grand, with body and brightness. It projects beautifully, making it fill the room.

SuperNATURAL Modelling is a highly sophisticated engine that changes its sound in real-time. Not only do you experience a beautiful dynamic range, but all modelled sounds also have limitless polyphony.

319 Sounds

As well as the 4 modelled pianos, the DP603 includes 315 sounds for even the most demanding keyboard player.

This ranges from Grand/Upright/Electric Pianos, Orchestral, Stringed, Clavinets, Harpsichords, Organs, Guitars, Brass, Woodwind, Synthesizers, Vocals, Sound FX and Drums/Percussion sounds.

Each of the 315 additional sounds features 384 note polyphony, which is more than even some of the most advanced Stage Pianos on the market.

Soundbar Speaker System

In order to hear the incredible detail of the SuperNATURAL sound engine, the DP603 needs a sophisticated speaker system.

Sitting tidily below the keybed, the front-facing speakers project the sound towards the piano player and the room.

The x2 12" 30W Sound Bar Speaker System, the Roland DP603 can fill even the largest of living rooms. It offers a wide frequency range and is voiced to hear the very fine details of the piano sound.

Bluetooth Connectivity

The Roland DP603 could possibly be the best piano for the modern lifestyle. With Bluetooth, the DP603 can seamlessly connect with your favourite Smart Device or interact with other compatible Bluetooth products.

You can use Bluetooth to stream audio to the speakers of the piano, meaning the piano becomes a Soundbar. With the ability to connect to your phone, tablet or TV, you use the piano as a fantastic home speaker system. As the DP603 is a piano first, you can also use Bluetooth Audio to play along to your favourite songs by your favourite artists, as if you were part of their band.

Bluetooth can also be used to establish a MIDI connection, wirelessly, which allows the DP603 to interact with numerous apps on iOS or Android.

You can use the Roland Piano Designer app to customise almost every detail of your piano sound, tailoring it to your personal taste. Roland also has an app called Piano Partner 2, which is the perfect practise companion.

Bluetooth MIDI can even be used to connect to third-party apps, enabling you to trigger MIDI Instruments, play musical games or record your performances.

USB Audio Interface

For a simply low-latency connection to your computer, the Roland DP603 has an in-built audio interface that connects via a single USB cable (sold separately). Once you have connected, you can record with either Audio or MIDI for the perfect home recording setup.
