Roland JC-120 Jazz Chorus 120W Stereo Combo Overview

Legendary flagship of the Roland Jazz Chorus series since 1975

Jazz Chorus Guitar Amplifier

The Roland JC-120 Jazz Chorus Guitar Amplifier has earned a reputation with the world's top professional guitarists as the definitive "clean" amp with the most pleasing built-in chorus effect there is.

The Roland JC-120 Jazz Chorus amp features a unique twin-amp, twin-speaker configuration that outputs a rich, pure guitar sound with an instantly recognisable, spatially dimensional chorus effect literally like no other. Rugged and reliable, the Jazz Chorus is a timeless solid state classic that brings out the true qualities of your guitar's natural sound.

First introduced way back in 1975, the JC-120 Jazz Chorus is one of the few guitar amps that can truly be called a legend. Roland’s long-standing flagship is universally recognized by pros as the benchmark in clean guitar sound, and its rich tone and famous built-in stereo chorus effect have been heard on countless popular songs over its long history. Now celebrating 40 years of continuous production and counting, the JC-120 remains the undisputed “king of clean,” and the enduring choice of serious guitarists everywhere.

The one transistor amp that joins the tube amps when music scribes make up a list of "classic amps". Powerful at 2x60 watts, and with a stereo chorus that is simply perfect, the sound just begs for some early 1980s hits...think The Police, The Pretenders or The Smiths. The JC120 is built like a battleship so you'll be very grateful for the castors that are supplied, though it IS rather wanting of Roland that they only supply the centrally mounted grab handle....the similarly heavy Vox AC30 gets a handle at either end as well. It being so heavy suggests it would survive life on the road, easily and it being a transistor amp means no fragile tubes to break or burn out.
