Roland Store at GAK
GAK is proudly partnered with Roland to include a Roland Store within the GAK Megastore. The Roland Store is a hub primarily located in our guitar shop featuring an interactive display and demo area for a massive range of Roland and Boss' award winning products. Roland, Boss and V-Drums are also featured in our Piano, Pro-Audio, and Drum shop, enjoying comprehensive displays throughout.
The most exciting feature of our Roland Store is the addition of our own dedicated Roland product specialist, James Purvis. James has been comprehensively trained by Roland UK HQ, to not only offer an encyclopaedic knowledge of Roland and Boss, but also to provide Roland’s professional, award-winning customer service and aftercare.
James is available 4 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday) in-store, over the phone and via email. He is on hand to answer any queries, offer support for preexisting purchases, advise you on any product in the substantial Roland, Boss and V-Drum range, as well as demonstrate any product in-store.
I’m James – your local Roland Store product specialist at GAK in Brighton. With my BTEC in Music Performance and BA (Hons) degree in Commercial Music – plus a decade’s retail experience and many years as an active musician and sound engineer – I’m able to give you expert advice on all the Roland and BOSS products.
Being a musician helps me give you better advice. I play the guitar and keys, while the majority of my experience comes from playing as a session drummer. I’m currently involved with five different artists, ranging from electronic house music and ambient electronica to folk and trip-hop. I also have wide experience playing in different function and tribute bands – so whatever instrument you play or scene you’re involved with, I know which Roland gear will work for you.
Roland has always been a huge part of my career. I’ve been using hybrid V-Drums setups for over ten years and have always chosen Roland keys for producing and songwriting – I also love the reliability of having BOSS on my pedalboard. I’ve been working for Roland since December 2014, so I know all the ins and outs of the gear.
Come down to the store and let’s talk through your needs. Or, if you prefer, simply request a 1-2-1 presales demonstration right here and I’ll get back to you within 48 hours. You can also pick my brains with an aftercare appointment – where I’ll walk you through your new purchase and help you get the best from it – or ask me for any product or tech support after you’ve got your product home.
Why should you shop at a Roland Store?
James is a highly trained Planet Product Specialist and knows all the latest Roland gear inside-out. He's always on-hand to help you find the product that’s right for you. Instead of giving you the hard-sell, he’ll let you hang out and try the gear, listen to your ambitions and give you honest musician-to-musician advice.
Due to being an active musician and gear expert, James knows which products are best for your gig, whether you’re planning to write, record or perform. James is your point of contact for presales advice, aftercare and tech support – and will soon be a familiar face.
