Schecter Stiletto Studio-4 FF Bass, Fan Fret, Honey Satin, Special Order Overview

The Stiletto Studio-5 FF is a beautiful 5 string bass that features fanned frets and compensating EMG pickups to give you a fantastic sound and playing experience.

Fanned Fret Five String Bass

Constructed for High Performance

Schecter’s Stiletto Studio-5 FF has a number of features that have been incorporated to ensure that this bass is truly high performance and gives you the tools you need for truly incendiary bass playing.

The body of this 5 string bass is made from Mahogany and has a deep cutaway design for easier reach of the higher frets.

Adding even further playability of the upper frets is the neck-through construction that sees Schecter’s special Ultra Access treatment. An extra-slim, small and smooth heel sits behind the deep placement of the neck for fast, smooth playability that allows you to get as high on the fretboard as you want.

The neck itself is very solid and is made of a multi-ply combination of both Maple and Walnut woods and has an extremely comfortable to play thin ‘C’ shape.

Fanned Frets

The fretboard of this Stiletto Studio 5 string bass guitar is made using classic Rosewood and it features 24, X-Jumbo sized frets.

Being the FF model of the Stiletto Studio-5, this bass has incredible fanned fret construction. Having fanned frets makes this a multi-scale bass.

On the bass side of the instrument, the scale is much longer allowing the lower strings to have a strong, thicker and fuller sound. On the treble side of the bass guitar the scale length is shorter keeping them sounding bright and clear due to the shorter vibration length.

This results in a more even tonality across all your strings so you get a brilliantly full sound whether you’re going way down low, or hitting up the higher notes.

At the top of the fretboard you’ll find that Schecter have installed a Graph Tech XL Black TUSQ nut. TUSQ is a marvellous material that is precision engineered under high heat and pressure to enhance the frequencies that remain in the guitar strings, resulting in fantastic sustain.

EMG Electronics

EMG 40HZ pickups have been installed by Schecter in both the bridge and neck pickup positions.

These pickups were designed for use with 5 string bass guitars and use ceramic bar magnets with steel resulting in a warm and smooth tone with big mid-range response.

Since it is a humbucker style pickup drastically reduces noise while delivering a fantastically full, large amount of output.

To give you control over your tone there is a built IN 3-Band EMG Active EQ. Combined with Master Volume and Blend controls you’ve got all the tonal options you need right there on the Stiletto Studio-5 FF.
