Schecter C-1 Silver Mountain, Left Handed Overview

Schecter is renowned for crafting electric guitars with powerful tones, silky-smooth playability, striking aesthetics and the capability to be played across the entire frequency range. This makes them the perfect choice for guitar players that need to play huge riffs low down on the neck or face-melting solos at the top end. Regularly seen used in more aggressive and heavier music, Schecter is a spectacular choice among Metal, Hardcore, Punk, Prog and Alternative guitar players.

The Schecter C shape is ergonomic and especially comfortable to play, with the bottom cutaway offering easy access to the higher frets of this guitar, typically featuring 24 X-Jumbo frets. The C is available in numerous string sizes, including the standard 6 string (C-1), 7 string (C-7) and 8-String (C-8). There are also Multi-Scale versions, referred to as MS, on the extended string versions (C-7 MS and C-8 MS) which feature a fanned fretboard.

Fanned fret or multi-scale guitars have fret wires that are on a calculated angle, giving each string a different scale length. Fanned frets give guitars a longer scale length on the lower strings and a shorter scale length on the higher strings, meaning that a guitar with this feature will list two scale lengths in its spec, hence the term "multi-scale". By purchasing a multi-scale guitar, you are giving each string the optimal length to suit the pitch of the string; Lower pitched notes sound/feel best with longer strings, whereas higher strings are the opposite. The most obvious difference between a standard scale and multi-scale guitar is the difference in string tension. As you move between each string, there is a noticeable increase in tension on the lower strings, which is a huge benefit to guitarists that play fast riffs in the low end or in lower tunings, without affecting the tension of the higher strings.

Each C Guitar is also available with different bridge types. the C-1 comes with a Hipshot Ibby HM Guitar Bridge or with a Floyd Rose 1500 Series (C-1 FR S), whereas both the C-7 and C-8 feature a Hipshot Hardtail (.125) w/ String Thru Body, which all ensure excellent tuning stability.

Most Schecter C-Series guitars come Fitted with a pair of Schecter USA Sonic-Seducer humbuckers, which are high gain humbuckers that can handle the dirtiest of tones without breaking a sweat. They’re not just built for high-gain tones, as the USA Sonic-Seducer clean up beautifully thanks to the push/pull tone control, which splits the coils for more creamy tones. Floyd Rose (FR) models come with the Sustainiac® (S) pickup in the neck, offering more sustain, so you can achieve never-ending sustain for drone-style effects. FR models also include high-quality Grover Rotomatic tuners and a Floyd Rose 1500 Series locking tremolo, meaning you can divebomb and squeal to your heart’s content!

Any guitar that has been made for aggressive music needs to look the part too, and the striking Silver Mountain finish certainly catches your attention. The unique “dripped-striped” design ensures that your Schecter C will stand out from the crowd. Silver Mountain is also available in Blood Moon & Toxic Venom, for those that want their beautiful guitar to stand out even further!

Case Not Included - All Schecter C guitars fit in the dedicated Schecter SGR-1C C-Shape Hard Case (sold separately).
