Seymour Duncan ASB2-5 Phase II 5-String (Neck) Overview
For Soapbar equipped bassThese pickups were designed in the Basslines Custom Shop when a series of artists had their stock pickups swapped out for something bigger, bolder and badder. Utilizing a low-noise discreet transistor preamp, the tone can be described as similar to Phase I, but with slightly harder attack and a modern, hi-fi tone with a smooth and broad response. Unique split-blade design delivers the punch of a single coil, without hum. Very pleasing, articulate mid-range with no harshness. Includes logo covers. The Phase II's are the same size at the EMG Model 40 and 45 pickups. All of Duncan's Active Soapbars use a hum canceling, split-blade magnet, so hum and string spacing problems are effectively eliminated. Battery life is approximately 1,000 continuous hours per set. Includes mounting and wiring hardware.
