Squier Affinity Series Jaguar Bass H, Laurel Fingerboard, Charcoal Frost Metallic Overview

The Fender Squier Affinity Range has been refreshed for the first time since 2017 to include new and updated features across the range that today’s players demand, as well as new models and colours to bring a new life to the Squier Affinity series. Key components have been upgraded such as tremolo bridges, pickups, tuning machines, and aesthetic updates such as gloss headstocks and updated logos, re-establishing the Squier Affinity range as a great option for beginners who want an electric guitar or bass guitar that looks and sounds great at an affordable price.

The Fender Squier Affinity Jaguar Bass is a new addition to the Squier Affinity range and has a thin and lightweight poplar body that provides a resonant and meaty tone, an easy-playing 32" scale length, a maple neck with a comfortable ‘C’ shape neck profile, and a smooth Indian rosewood fretboard with 20 medium jumbo frets. It has a 4-saddle standard bridge, a synthetic bone nut, and vintage style open-gear tuning machines to provide smooth, accurate tuning, which is ideal for beginners who just want to play.

For pickups, it has a Squier ceramic humbucker at the bridge position for fat, punchy tone. To complete the Fender Squier Affinity Jaguar Bass is black control knobs and pickguard, chrome hardware and a classic Charcoal Black Frost finish.

This bass is amazing. The neck feels great and it plays very well, and it sounds awesome. I do however have one small problem with it and that is that the body is somewhat light so when you're standing up and it's just being held by a strap it tilts down a bit, I don't know if that's standard for other Jaguars as I have nothing to compare it to. But other than that it's a terrific bass. Can't go wrong for less than £200. Would definitely recommend.
