Squier Affinity Series Telecaster, Laurel Fingerboard, Lake Placid Blue Overview

The Fender Squier Affinity Range has been refreshed for the first time since 2017 to include new and updated features that today’s players demand, as well as new models and colours to breathe life into the Squier Affinity series. Key components have been upgraded such as tremolo bridges, pickups, tuning machines, and aesthetic updates such as gloss headstocks and updated logos, re-establishing the Squier Affinity range as a great option for beginners who want an electric guitar or bass guitar that looks and sounds great at an affordable price.

The Fender Squier Affinity Telecaster has a lightweight poplar body that delivers a resonant and meaty tone as well as making it more comfortable to play, a 25.5" scale length, a maple neck with a comfortable ‘C’ shape profile, and a smooth Indian laurel fretboard with 21 medium jumbo frets. It has a 6-saddle strings-through-body bridge, a synthetic bone nut, and sealed die-cast tuning machines with split shafts which allow for smooth, accurate tuning and an easy restringing experience, which is ideal for beginners who just want to practice playing.

For pickups, it has a pair of ceramic single-coil Tele pickups and a 3-way pickup switcher delivering a range of classic tones, like the classic Tele twang, warm overdrive, and bright, spanky single-coil tones. To complete the Fender Squier Affinity Telecaster is a white pickguard, white dot inlays, chrome hardware and a bold Lake Placid Blue finish.

Well worth the price, the 2021 Squiers are not even the little sisters anymore, they’re twins, almost a fender, only noticeable quality issue was a scratchy fretboard which has almost gone after about 6 hours of play, easy fix with some TLC! Amazing build quality from Indonesia, lovely colour, plays smooth, great Tele tone!
