Squier FSR Classic Vibe '50s Stratocaster, Black with Black Pickguard Overview

A celebration of the birth of the Strat in the 1950s, the Classic Vibe ‘50s Stratocaster creates incredible tone courtesy of a trio of Fender-Designed alnico single-coil pickups. Player-friendly features include a slim, comfortable “C”-shaped neck profile with an easy-playing 9.5”-radius fingerboard and narrow-tall frets, as well as a vintage-style tremolo system for expressive string bending effects. This throwback Squier model also features 1950s-inspired headstock markings, rich-looking nickel-plated hardware and a slick vintage-tint gloss neck finish for an old-school vibe.

This is one cool guitarm - very mush like Dave Gilmour black stratocaster. Actually bought it to modify and fit different pickups, the Dave Gilmour neck always on mod, but well it arrived just like perfectly set up. A fluke? Not sure, but the neck so straight, not buzzing, sounded brill too. So... I am happy! : ) ....will stilll do the Nack always on mod though...just to be like the top man himself.

Poorer guitar than my Thomann 'Harley Benton's' frankly. Look under the scratch plate and you get small pots and cheap wiring. My HB stratocasters have cloth covered wiring and large pots. What erks me is the £240 price difference bewltween the 2!? Honestly the HB is the same body size and thickness, the neck is identical in profile, the finish beautiful (antique white), the pickups more than passible. The Squire should be so much better given the price, but isn't - fitting decent pots and wiring would cost pence per unit! I'm keeping it solely because i wanted an all black 'Gilmour' stratocaster but it will be gutted to make it presentable. Poor show Fender/Squire!!

Squier classic vibe's are the best value for money you can find. Quality guitars that play great and are built to last, and look awesome.
