The highly anticipated "half point" update to Steinberg's industry-leading Cubase 9 DAW is here, offering you a wide range of updated tools, functions and plug-ins, as well as an improved file management system, customisable metronome, brand new video engine and much more.

With a vast array of sounds and tools designed to accelerate your workflow, all packaged and presented within an intuitive user-friendly interface, Cubase 9.5 is a one-stop platform for musicians, producers, sound engineers, sound designers, foley designers and more. Cubase 9.5 is the complete and fully upgraded version of Cubase 9 and all of its original features, plus features found in Cubase 9.5 Artist and Elements.

Steinberg has made 'fast workflow' a core focus for Cubase 9.5, with the new 'Zoning 2:0', you will now find three new tabs on the right-hand side inspector panel that greatly reduce scroll and search times. A new intuitive browser tab allows you to scan through, preview and import files into your current project without having to leave the software and open up a separate window. Additionally, the control room tab allows you to remotely configure booth room and monitor setups, with easy access to talk back. The new meter tab allows you to switch between the master meter and loudness meter, giving you a quick and clear display of your mix at any given time.

Precise automation and smooth transitions are now even easier thanks to the inclusion of automation curves, with wide and clear automation lanes catering for more variably-timed transitions. 

Cubase Pro 9.5 also introduces us to a full 64-bit floating-point mixing engine, an upgrade from their old 32-bit model. With the 64-bit double precision audio engine, you can now mix true 24-bit recordings with the highest level of detail, dynamics and transparency.

A new metronome within Cubase Pro 9.5 allows you to create fully customised click patterns with up to four various accent levels to accommodate every odd time-signature you may need to record. The new metronome even gives you the option to upload and assign your own sounds as the click!

With Cubase Pro 9.5, Steinberg has double the amount of insert slots for VST effects on each track, greatly increasing your freedom to experiment with effects combinations and plug-in chains and vastly expand your creative potential. This new and highly flexible insert section allows you to adjust the position of the separator, giving you full control of the signal flow and therefore the dynamics.
