Sterling RAYSS4 StingRay Short-Scale Bass, Dropped Copper Overview
Sterling has the great looks, quality and sound of Music Man at a more affordable price. The StingRay Short Scale has a shorter 30” scale making it great for younger learners, a Nyatoh body, a hard maple neck and maple fretboard to provide a smooth playing experience while also being durable. This model also features open-gear tuning machines and a sterling-designed bridge to provide rock-solid tuning stability.
For pickups, it has a Sterling-designed Neodymium humbucker with 3-way rotary switch. This means you can get parallel, true single-coil, and series modes to get a versatile range of tones - Neodymium pickups have a stronger magnetic force, which means these pickups generate a strong signal and deliver colourful and warm tones as well as crystal clear clarity and vintage thump.
The StingRay Short Scale is completed with a white pickguard, a 3+1 headstock and a bold Dropped Copper finish.
