Taylor T5z Classic Sassafras Hybrid Acoustic Electric Overview
Traditionally built with a mahogany top, these three additions to the Taylor T5z Classic family elevate the visual appeal with blackheart sassafras, Indian rosewood and Hawaiian koa top options. Matched with a sapele body, each top wood showcases a uniquely striking visual flavour to accompany the inviting feel and tonal breadth of our hollowbody electric-acoustic. Like all T5z models, these feature Taylor’s proprietary three-pickup configuration with five-way switching capability, allowing players to move from warm amplified acoustic sounds to fiery electric tones with the flick of the wrist.
Standard specs include a 24-7/8" scale length, 1-11/16" nut width, jumbo frets, and 12" radius for the genuine Crelicam West African ebony fretboard. Appointments include a shaded edgeburst top, satin finish body and neck, unbound body and F-holes, Italian acrylic Small Diamond fretboard inlays, and satin black tuners. All three models feature our standard T5z electronics and ship in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case.
