Designed by Gordon himself with Rob Armstrong, one of the UK’s longstanding acoustic guitar luthiers, the VE2000DLX features a solid Cedar top, solid Rosewood back and sides, and a beautifully shaped Mahogany neck; the perfect choice for a lightweight acoustic guitar that has been designed to effortlessly deliver fast note transmission.
Tone transfer from strings to body is exceptional due to an Ebony bridge with a compensated GraphTech® NuBone saddle, and the reliability and material consistency of NuBone is repeated with a GraphTech® top nut, which when coupled with gold Grover® 102 machine heads ensures that smooth and stable tuning is constant.
A great acoustic sound is standard with this guitar - a warm, tight, and rich bass underpins a bright powerful midrange and sweet highs - all with exceptional clarity, and this excellent tone and timbre can also be easily amplified without loss of quality by way of the Fishman® Rare Earth Blend pickup.
