Yamaha FG-TA TransAcoustic Dreadnought Electro Acoustic, Brown Sunburst Overview

With the FG-TA, the traditional manufacturer Yamaha offers an inexpensive version of the successful TransAcoustic. This innovative technology allows the player to mix chorus, reverb and acoustic sound without the use of external effects or amplifiers. In addition, Yamaha’s own 70 pickup system is available for increased use, which scores with dynamics and natural balance.

But the FG-TA TransAcoustic also has a lot to offer acoustically. Accordingly, this dreadnought comes with a solid spruce top on a mahogany body and resonates with tight bass, striking mid-range and brilliant highs. This makes the FG-TA TransAcoustic ideal for powerful vocal accompaniment with strumming or Flatpicking. In addition, chrome-plated die-cast mechanisms provide tuning stability, while a compensated urea bridge insert ensures clean intonation and a flat string position.

Quality finish and makes a great sound too. If you want a guitar for pleasure, gigging etc then you won’t go far wrong with this one. Excellent guitar.

So far it’s all great . Plays well out out the box , no need for set up or string change (although I might put lighter strings on soon) . There are many many reviews and demos on YouTube as it’s a real innovation in acoustic sound , it makes you want to play and you only notice what a difference it makes when you turn the chorus or reverb off . Great guitar for the price , only gripe is that there is no battery level / test or led to indicate the reverb etc is “ON” as I know I will forget and leave it on and go through batteries like there’s no tomorrow.Looking forwards to playing it this Saturday 5th Sept 2020 at open air ( socially distanced ) 70’s 80’s music festival in Thetford.
