Fender Custom Shop '51 Nocaster NOS (White Blonde) Overview

Very nice 'New Old Stock' Nocaster- nice and shiny, just like you'd have picked up in a store in 1951. Fender's fabled 'Nocaster' was actually a pre-runner to what became known as the legendary 'Telecaster'. This model actually began life in 1950 being known as the 'Broadcaster'- only to result in legal action from Gretsch (who already had the 'Broadkaster' name registered for a line of drums). So whilst Fender were deciding what to re-name their guitar they carried on production with no model designation on the headstock, just the Fender logo. Hence this brief run of guitars being known as the 'Nocaster'.

This one has a few tweaks- to make it play that bit better, whilst maintaining the great, relatively chunky '52 'U' shape neck back profile, has true Jumbo frets (Dunlop 6000s) and a 10" radius. This means you can really dig in with this and choking out is a thing of the past! Tones come courtesy of Broadcaster bridge and Twisted Tele neck pickups but wired to a 4-way Tele 'Super Switch' giving you the extra tonal options. All in all a super Tele!
