This spectacular Fender Custom Shop '59 Precision Bass Relic is a custom order by one of our GAK Bass Department Staff for stock and is now in our Brighton store ready for you to come down and try!

Based on the original 1959 Model Specification of the Fender Precision where you could have Rosewood or Maple Fretboard options, this particular bass has a been crafted with a Single Piece Quarter-sawn Maple Neck and Maple Fretboard that, although extremely common throughout the 1950s, became a rarity in the 1960s for Fender Basses.

The body is finished in a striking White Blonde which allows the thick grain of the Ash Body to come through the lacquer, the unusual Single-ply Black Pickguard gives it an instant Nocaster-esque look but in a Precision! The Relic finish makes the bass feel incredibly played in, the wear on fretboard a nice touch to the look and feel of this stunning bass. The one-piece Quarter-Sawn Maple neck feels amazing to play, and whether you're thundering away with finger style or hammering it with a pick the brightness of that Maple board combined with the resonance of the Ash body makes the bass cut through any mix with tons of aggression and response.
