To celebrate their 120 year anniversary Gibson have created an exiting new range of guitars. They have taken some of their most popular models and given them a modern twist, the results should appeal to players old and new. Lets take a look at the Gibson 2014 Les Paul Standard Premium Quilt.

The 2014 Les Paul Standard Premium Quilt has a solid mahogany body which as undergone "modern" weight relief. Gibson have chambered the body to give a much lighter feel on the shoulder without losing the iconic shape or legendary tone. Added to this is a stunning AAA book-matched quilted maple top which the luthiers are obviously extremely proud of. Each guitar is signed on the back by the employee that matched the top, a nice personal touch.

The Gibson 2014 Les Paul Standard Premium Quilt has a glued-in mahogany '60s SlimTaper neck which carries a compound-radius rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays and 120th Anniversary inlay at the 12th fret. The fingerboard incorporates undercut fret over binding for extra playing surface, the Gibson 2014 Les Paul Standard Premium Quilt is a great player as well as being an object of visual splendour.

The guitar carries a pair of legendary Gibson humbuckers, a BurstBucker Pro 1 in the neck position and a hotter reverse-polarity BurstBucker Pro 2 in the bridge.
