Ibanez AS73 Artcore Hollow Body, Tobacco Brown Overview

The Ibanez AS73 is part of the Artcore series, which was introduced back in 2002 and has now been the hollow-body and semi-acoustic guitar choice of musicians all over the world for over 15 years.

The Artcore series sits in-line with Ibanez's overarching way of building guitars. With the combination of quality workmanship and affordability central to everything Ibanez does. This dedication has created legions of fans from diverse genres as blues, country, rock and jazz

The Ibanez Artcore series has come to be highly respected for its tone and sustain and the series continues to push the boundaries of guitar building. The Ibanez AS73 is a true semi-acoustic guitar that's built to be versatile. What's more, with it being an Ibanez there are a few little design tweaks that well and truly set it apart from the semi-acoustic crowd it sits in the centre of.

Super Grip III Control Knobs
An Ibanez classic! Pre-dating the current range of metal guitars Ibanez makes, these go right back to the late '70s and early '80s. Precise control knobs with non-slip functionality that have stood the test-of-time. One of us here at GAK even has an original '83 RS-1000 and can confirm they're still not slippin'.

Classic Elite pickups
The Classic Elite pickups offer rich, nuanced tone with fat low-end. Great for for everything from bluesy overdrive tones to warm mellow jazz.

ART-1 bridge and Quik Change III Tailpiece
The Ibanez designed ART-1 bridge is based around the original tune-o-matic bridge, but designed to provide improved sustain and tuning stability. This is coupled to a Quik Change III tailpiece, with slots to enable faster and easier string changing.

For the money it’s great. Blues tones, crunchy tones, cleans and even metal tones sound great although I wouldn’t use it for metal, if your on the fence with this guitar come off and get one it’s great value
