Plug-and-Play With Serato DJ and rekordbox
One of the major benefits of the DDJ-FLX6GT is that it is a DJ Controller made for both Serato DJ and rekordbox users. Pioneer DJ has made the experience of using a DDJ-FLX6GT truly plug-and-play. Simply plug the included USB cable into your chosen laptop and you will be able to use the in-built Audio/MIDI interface. Better yet, it is USB Bus-Powered, limiting too many messy cables.
The Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX6GTworks out of the box with rekordbox, as the software will unlock all the relevant features for that controller. For Serato DJ Pro users, the DDJ-FLX6GT comes with license keys for the FX Pack and Pitch ‘n Time DJ Expansion Packs in the box, so you can get creative with advanced features, no matter which software you choose. The DDJ-FLX6GT seamlessly slots into almost any workflow.
Full-Sized Jogwheels
The DDJ-FLX6 is Pioneer DJ’s most affordable DJ Controller in the DDJ Range to feature full-sized jog wheels and 4-channels, making it the ideal unit for events DJ. The FLX6GT also enables DJs to start feeling the benefits of lining up tracks with the same sized jog wheel as a flagship CDJ, like the CDJ-3000.
A major benefit of using a full-sized jog wheel is that feels you are “scratching” on a traditional turntable. With the help of a technology named Jog Cutter, you will be able to perform scratch patterns just like the pros.
Jog Cutter
When Jog Cutter is turned on via the dedicated button on the front panel, the jog wheel is split into 6 different sections. Each section will have a specific professional scratch effect applied to the last Hot Cue or Playback Position used on the deck.
In addition to the 6 different sections, you can choose between 10 different scratch pattern samples, which have been recorded by Professional Scratch DJs. This feature is perfect for the beginner or hobbyist DJ that has not yet mastered scratching and still wants to perform these sounds.
Merge Effects
To help make your DJ mixing more creative, professional and smooth, the Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX6GT features 8 different Merge Effects. Merge Effects allows you to add drama to your sets and easily mix different tracks, no matter the BPM or key.
When pressing the Merge Effects knob, your chosen effect will engage and respond in different intensity levels as you move the knob left or right. You can create more tension and energy in your sets by moving the knob at different speeds.
For Example: Simply specify which Merge Effects pattern you would like to use. One example would make the pitch of the track start to climb while a snare drum sample is triggered at shorter intervals, continuing to build until you’re ready to drop your next song.
When you press the knob again, the effect is released, the next track will play and, if you’ve chosen one in the settings, another sample will trigger. To end a track, you can simply hit play on the other deck to introduce the next song or genre of music.
Sample Scratch
Sample Scratch is a rekordbox specific Pad Mode that enables DJs to choose a sound that has been assigned to the sampler and load them directly into a deck. This is great for live remixes of a track or to add texture to the music.
In Serato DJ Pro, you can use Scratch Bank to trigger the samples whilst using the Performance Pads to achieve a similar result.
Mic Input
Placed at the very front of the unit is a Microphone Input, with its very own level control. Make announcements, hype up your crowd or MC over your mixes and command every performance.
Built For The Booth
The Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX6GT is the perfect controller for the performing DJ, including a wide array of monitoring options. As well as a Headphone output, the DDJ-FLX6GT features 2 pairs of RCA outputs, one for the Master and the other for Booth.
Having a Booth Output means that you can perform in a DJ Booth with speakers, so you can hear yourself and not compete with the front-of-house PA System. You can play loud and proud.

- Updated design with a graphite color brings a sophisticated look The layout of the controls on the DDJ-FLX6-GT is the same as its predecessor, echoing a club-standard CDJ + DJM setup, so you can perform intuitively. However, a new matte gray body and the graphite color of the jog wheels bring a sophisticated look.
- VirtualDJ is compatible with the updated unit (licenses available separately), which also offers free use of the rekordbox Core plan and Serato DJ Pro. The DJ controller comes with license keys for the Serato FX Pack and Pitch 'n Time DJ Expansion Pack too. And you can use the DDJ-FLX6-GT with TRAKTOR PRO 3 by downloading the TSI file.
- With a built-in sound card, all you need to do is connect the DDJ-FLX6-GT via USB cable to a laptop that’s running a compatible software application and you can start DJing right away.
- Pitch bending and scratching feel natural on the DDJ-FLX6-GT thanks to the large jog wheels, which are the same size as those on the flagship CDJ-3000 multi player. Each one features On Jog Display^ too, so you can keep an eye on the playhead position, and the new rubberized finish on the outer ring gives you a much better feeling – especially when pitch bending.
- Add drama to your sets and easily mix different styles of music with this innovative feature. No matter what the BPM or key of the next track is, you can create an exciting transition whenever you want. Simply press the knob to engage the effect, then turn it as fast or as slow as you like to start building up the tension in the music. Depending on the effect pattern you’ve chosen, the pitch of the track might start to climb while a snare drum sample is triggered at shorter intervals until you’re ready to drop your next song. When you press the knob again, the effect is released – and if you’ve chosen one in the settings, another sample fires off to end the track so you can simply hit play on the other deck to introduce the next song or genre of music.
- There are 8 Merge FX pattern presets to choose from (4 if you use VirtualDJ, TRAKTOR PRO 3, or Serato DJ Pro) and you can use your own samples. If you’re DJing with rekordbox, you’ll find everything is customizable. Choose from 41 types of effects within the 4 categories that make up a Merge FX (Build FX, Build Sample, Release FX, and Drop Sample) and combine them to create more than 9,000 different patterns. You can save 8 of your own patterns and use the FX Select button on the unit to call them up whenever you want to perform a unique mix.
- Turn on Jog Cutter* and, when you move the jog wheel, a professional scratch effect will be applied to the last Hot Cue or playback position you used on that deck. There are 10 different scratch patterns and you can switch from one to another by simply moving the playhead position, shown on the jog wheel’s display, to point toward the angle for the scratch you want to use. When you lift your hand away, the track will continue to play as normal from the Hot Cue position.
- The Sample Scratch pad mode in rekordbox enables you to choose sounds you’ve assigned to the sampler and load them onto the decks. So, when you want to create a live remix of a track or simply add some texture to the music, you can scratch with your favorite sounds. If you’re using Serato DJ Pro or VirtualDJ, you can use Scratch Bank^ to trigger samples by hitting the Performance Pads.
