I returned a cheaper unbranded version of this instrument because the frets were not finished properly and my fingers were catchine on them (I've actually drawn blood on another badly finihsed produced. As I though, this being a Fender that was not a problem here. Bit of buzz on the top frets as the nut is too low. Main issue was no instructions how to get at the battery (which I wanted to remove as I won'[t be using this with an amplifier in the foreseeable future and already have two electronic tuners)). I had to find this by trial and error, involving unscrewing some of the components. Just a sticky label on the battery compartment would have helped avoid this. Otherwise quite happy with it.

Been after an acoustic bass for while as a new instrument to learn. Already have several six string guitars. The Fender is very well finished and has a very comfortable neck. Holds tune well and is plenty loud enough for home practice. Sounds great through my Boss Katana amp. Needed the setup sorting as beck relief and action were off for my liking. A couple of hours fettling the truss rod and saddle and it is spot on. Defo recommend this bass
