Everyone here at GAK was sad to see it taken out of production after the original was sold at auction. The Custom Shop model now fetches double the price on the second-hand market! We decided to spec up a guitar that pays tribute to what may be the most iconic Strat in history, we also managed to keep it at an attainable price especially considering the high-end specification! This Strat is a GAK exclusive - you won’t find this one anywhere else in Europe.
Iconic Strat Tonewoods & Styling
This Strat features a classic Fender tonewood combination - an Alder body and a Maple neck - which contribute to that timeless Strat tone. There’s no doubting the versatility and sonic pedigree of this guitar.
The Alder body gives this guitar a full, defined & balanced core tone whilst the Maple neck boosts note definition and sustain.
The neck has been meticulously designed to provide an effortless, high-performance playing experience whilst also giving a vintage feel. That’s why Fender have opted for a comfortable Thick “V” neck profile, which is suited to a wide variety of playing styles, and a super smooth satin-worn finish. The Maple fingerboard sports 21 vintage tall frets, and a vintage style 7.25-inch radius to give you the perfect balance between playability and vintage vibe.

Just like the Custom Shop Replica this guitar features Fender Custom Shop Fat 50s Pickups. Super high-end guitar tone is now at your fingertips and you didn't have to break the bank!
The Fender Fat '50s Strat Pickup Set gives you calibrated pickups constructed with hand-bevelled, staggered Alnico V magnets and Formvar magnet wire and they deliver enhanced bass response without the harsh midrange. The middle pickup is reverse wound/reverse polarity for hum cancelling in positions 2 and 4.
Road Worn Nitrocellulose Finish
Finished in nitrocellulose lacquer – prized for its natural tonal qualities and distinct ageing patterns, then hand-distressed for an authentically broken-in look, this Strat delivers the bell-like tone and playing comfort you’d expect from a great vintage guitar.
