The Epiphone Prophecy is the latest update of classics such as the Les Paul, G, the Explorer, and the Flying V. The range first launched back in 2008, and the most recent upgrade of this collection includes Fishman’s state-of-the-art Fluence pickups, as well as locking tuners, and fancy block and triangle inlays.

Epiphone Prophecy Extura

Epiphone Prophecy Extura in Black Aged Gloss

This series is a combination of the Gibson Explorer and Futura (hence the name Extura) to create a guitar with the elegance and narrower waist of the Explorer, and the deeper cutaway and improved fret accessibility of the Futura.

Playability is improved by the mahogany neck’s contoured heel. The new Fishman Fluence pickups have three different tones – a hot modern humbucker, a warm Gibson BurstBucker/”Patent Applied For” vintage humbucker, and a slightly overwound single-coil sound.

Other features include an ebony fretboard with jumbo frets with block and triangle inlays made from abalone which give a subtle, unique touch, an asymmetrical SlimTaper neck with a contoured heel to get to the upper frets easier, custom binding, brushed nickel plating, a Graph Tech NuBone nut to for better tuning stability, volume, harmonics, and tone, and Epiphone’s LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and tailpiece for added sustain.

The Epiphone Prophecy Extura is available in Yellow Tiger Aged Gloss or Purple Tiger Aged Gloss with AAA figured maple top or Black Aged Gloss in a plain top. Case sold separately.

Epiphone Flying V Prophecy

The Epiphone Flying V Prophecy is the latest version of this classic Epiphone, with the main upgrade being custom-voiced Fishman Fluence pickups – a hot modern humbucker, a hum-free slightly overwound single-coil sound, and a warm “Patent Applied For” vintage humbucker.

Other features include an ebony fretboard board with jumbo frets and custom block and triangle inlays made from mother of pearl and abalone, giving a subtle and stylish look, asymmetrical SlimTaper neck with a contoured heel to get to those upper frets easier, improved tuning stability, tone, volume, and harmonics with the black Graph Tech NuBone nut, brushed nickel plating, custom binding, and Epiphone’s LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and tailpiece for more sustain.

The Epiphone Flying V Prophecy is available in Yellow Tiger Aged Gloss with AAA figured maple top, and Black Aged Gloss in a plain top. Case sold separately.

The Epiphone Les Paul Prophecy combines the iconic Gibson body shape with fresh improvements, among these are a pair of custom-voiced state-of-the-art Fishman Fluence pickups. These deliver three different tones – a hum-free, slightly overwound single-coil sound, a hot modern active humbucker sound, and a warm “Patent Applied For” vintage humbucker.

Other new features include a Grover locking Rotomatic tuners, a black Graph Tech NuBone nut which increases tuning stability as well as allowing more tone, volume, and harmonics, an ebony fretboard with jumbo frets and block and triangle abalone inlays, an asymmetrical SlimTaper neck to improve playability, comfort and also to make it easier to get to the upper frets, Epiphone’s LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and tailpiece for more sustain, custom binding, and brushed nickel plating.

Epiphone Prophecy SG

Epiphone Prophecy SG in Black Aged Gloss

The Epiphone Prophecy SG combines the classic SG body with high-performance upgrades, making it a great option for progressive guitarists.

The upgrades include Fishman Fluence pickups, which have three voicing options – high gain, modern active high-output humbucker, classic PAF-style humbucker, and a hum-free, California-style slightly overwound single-coil tones.

Other new features for the Epiphone Prophecy SG include brushed nickel Grover Locking Rotomatic tuners, a SlimTaper asymmetrical mahogany neck which improves playability and gives easier access to the upper frets, an ebony fretboard with jumbo frets and block and triangle pearloid/abalone inlays to give a subtle, unique look, as well as a black Graph Tech NuBone nut.

The mahogany body has a 1/2″ maple cap and AAA flame maple veneer, with a thinner Aged Vintage Gloss finish, giving a classic look.
