It's all too easy to catch unwanted reflections, noises or echoes. Don't despair. You don't need to spend your life savings on acoustic engineers, sound-proofing and acoustic treatment - the clever folks at Adam Hall have produced the marvellous RF1 Microphone Filter. Mounted onto a stand, the Adam Hall RF1 allows for a microphone to be mounted nestled into semi-circular protective wall to help eliminate unwanted sounds and bad room acoustics.

Ruggedly built from hard-wearing materials, the RF1 is essential a shield made from a combination of sound-proofing materials and acoustic treatments. The sound proofing covers the outside of the unit, helping to stop sounds penetrating from the outside, whilst the interior acoustic treatment absorbs reflections around the microphone, allowing you to get a 'dry' recording signal. The RF1 is adjustable in 2 different directions: vertical to account for microphones of different height, and horizontally forward and back to allow you to control the damping effect of the filter on natural reflections and resonance entering the mic.
