FULL-TIME ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT 

GAK are looking for an Accounts Assistant to become part of a small dedicated accounting team working out of the GAK Office complex in Brighton. The role will include basic accounting duties as well as liaising with a range of different providers, partners, and distrbutors. A basic understanding of Sage 50 Accounts, and Excel are required for this role, and the ability and desire to work as part of a team are key to being successful.

Key aspects of the job will include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting the Financial Controller on day-to-day reporting.
• Demonstrating and advising customers on the best instrument to meet their needs.
• The processing of sales and purchasing invoices.
• A basic understanding of Sage 50 Accounts and Microsoft Excel.
• An excellent phone manner.
•The ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
• Completing all the necessary administration associated with Accounting.

FULL-TIME JUNIOR SALES PERSON (BASS DEPARTMENT)

GAK are looking for an experienced, highly motivated salesperson for the role of Sales Assistant in the Guitar Shop Bass Department at our world-famous Brighton store. The shop has a large range of basses, effects and amps from all the leading manufacturers on display which are ready to play. Although a reasonable level of playing ability is important, the flair for talking to customers, providing excellent advice and service, and the ability and desire to work as part of a team are key to being successful.

Key aspects of the job will include (but are not limited to):

• Driving sales and customer service to achieve monthly sales targets.
• Demonstrating and advising customers on the best instrument to meet their needs.
• A good working knowledge of the instruments, training will be given.
• Supporting the department manager in all aspects of the life of the store.
• Ensuring delivery of the optimum level of customer service, whether face-to-face, over the telephone or via email.
• Ensuring the store is properly merchandised and ready for business.
• Completing all the necessary administration associated with pre- and post-sales activity.
• Using the telephone/emails proactively to increase the level of sales.
