FULL-TIME ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT 

GAK are looking for an Accounts Assistant to become part of a small dedicated accounting team working out of the GAK Office complex in Brighton. The role will include basic accounting duties as well as liaising with a range of different providers, partners, and distrbutors. A basic understanding of Sage 50 Accounts, and Excel are required for this role, and the ability and desire to work as part of a team are key to being successful.

Key aspects of the job will include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting the Financial Controller on day-to-day reporting.
• Demonstrating and advising customers on the best instrument to meet their needs.
• The processing of sales and purchasing invoices.
• A basic understanding of Sage 50 Accounts and Microsoft Excel.
• An excellent phone manner.
•The ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
• Completing all the necessary administration associated with Accounting.

FULL/PART-TIME PIANO SHOP ASSISTANT 

GAK are looking for an experienced, highly motivated salesperson for the role of Sales Assistant in the Piano Shop at our world-famous Brighton store. The shop has a large range of digital home and stage pianos from all the leading manufacturers on display which are ready to play. Although a reasonable level of playing ability is important, the flair for talking to customers, providing excellent advice and service, and the ability and desire to work as part of a team are key to being successful.

Key aspects of the job will include (but are not limited to):

• Driving sales and customer service to achieve monthly sales targets.
• Demonstrating and advising customers on the best instrument to meet their needs.
• A good working knowledge of the instruments, training will be given.
• Supporting the department manager in all aspects of the life of the store.
• Ensuring delivery of the optimum level of customer service, whether face-to-face, over the telephone or via email.
• Ensuring the store is properly merchandised and ready for business.
• Completing all the necessary administration associated with pre- and post-sales activity.
• Using the telephone/emails proactively to increase the level of sales.

Some keyboard playing experience and sales experience is preferable. The job also includes sales over the phone on a range of products so some knowledge of music production/ guitars/ drums a bonus.

FULL-TIME WAREHOUSE STAFF MEMBER (Xmas Temp X 1) (November-January)

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to help in the picking and packing process of our busy warehouse. The successful candidate will have previous warehouse experience and the ability to work efficiently under the instruction of our Warehouse Management team.

  • The basic use of a computer and scanner, working with our CMS system to locate products and complete orders (training will be provided).

FULL-TIME DRUM SHOP ASSISTANT 

GAK are looking for a highly motivated sales person to join the team in our Drum department in our world famous Brighton store. This is predominantly a sales position, so whilst a level of technical knowledge is important, the flair for talking to customers and being able to provide excellent advice and service is key to being successful.

Key aspects of the job will include:

  • Delivering the optimum level of customer service, whether face-to-face or over the telephone. 
  • Using the telephone proactively to increase the level of sales.
  • Ensuring the store is properly merchandised and ready for business.
  • Completing all the necessary administration associated with pre- and post-sales activity.
  • Create unique content for our YouTube and other social media channels.

The required attributes to be successful include:

  • We want you to be confident, positive and pro-active in attitude at all times.
  • Previous sales experience.
  • Being comfortable using the telephone and computers (especially Excel / Google Docs / etc)
  • To be a highly-motivated individual, able to work on their own, as well as part of a team.
  • Clear communication skills, whether dealing with members of the public and across the entire GAK company.
  • You'd need to be available for full-time work, 5 days a week on a flexible rota system that includes weekends and occasional evenings.
  • Training will be provided in all areas to the successful candidate.
