Its a set of guitar strings. I prefer 9.5 gauge on some of my guitars and they are not available everywhere.

They're a bit heavier than 9s, and a bit lighter than 10s. If that's your kind of thing, then these are perfect! D'Addario seem to produce quality strings - I haven't had any fail due to manufacturing defects (or for any reason, actually) in as long as I can remember. Tone wise, I guess it's horses for courses. Certainly nothing to complain about as far as I can tell, but the same could be said for any other brand of string I've played in the last 25 years...

These are excellent ! For those to whom "9"s are just too light...makes changing from Gibson to Fender less of a hassle! Just what was required!
