Gold standard p bass pickups!

I bought the Dimarzios to replace the stock pickups on my Squire bass. Easy to fit, and no mods to the scratch plate. Also left the wiring loom as stock. These Dimarzio pups have a massive output, compared to the Squires. With the pups set high to the strings I was getting a horrible sound/distortion If your amp has an active input, you may need to use it, or reduce the input gain/pot volume. I decided to lower the pup height, to about half of their thickness. I could then use the passive input and the distortion disappeared. A bit of tweaking to the amp & they now sound great!

Very high output pick ups, so any gain needs turning back on amp or pedals.
