ESP FX Standard, Black Satin Overview
The ESP FX Standard is ESP's take on a classic, off-set design that has, for decades, struck a chord with Hard Rock and Metal guitarists world-wide. Featuring a set-neck construction and active electronics, this all-mahogany, Japanese-made, shred-machine has the look and feel of a rock-classic with an aggressive overtone that only ESP can deliver. Other features include: 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, 24.75in scale, dot inlays, Tune-O-Matic bridge 3-way pickup selector and chrome hardware.
Powering this rock monster are a pair of battle-tested EMG active pickups. In the neck, an EMG 60 humbucker which packs plenty of output with a balance of thick, boosted mids, big lows and singing highs. Featuring close aperture coils, similar to a mini-humbucker, this model produces rich harmonic overtones. Due to its ceramic magnets, the EMG 60 has a full treble response and loads of output great for distinct single-note solos. The 60 provides clarity and character to your guitar and works very well in the neck position. At the bridge, one of, if not, the most popular EMG's and the one that started a revolution - the 81. Utilising powerful ceramic magnets and close aperture coils, the tone was designed with detailed intensity, incredible amounts of high end cut, and fluid sustain. This humbucking pickup will make your leads slice right through even the densest mix.
