Fender Custom Shop LTD '51 Nocaster, NOS, Faded Nocaster Blonde Overview

Fender Custom Shop LTD '51 Nocaster, NOS, Faded Nocaster Blonde Overview.

Fender's fabled 'Nocaster' was actually a pre-runner to what became known as the legendary 'Telecaster'. This model actually began life in 1950 being known as the 'Broadcaster'- only to result in legal action from Gretsch (who already had the 'Broadkaster' name registered for a line of drums). So whilst Fender were deciding what to re-name their guitar they carried on production with no model designation on the headstock, just the Fender logo. Hence this brief run of guitars being known as the 'Nocaster'.

This recreation has a great NOS Finish. Featuring a two piece lightweight Ash body, one-piece Quarter-sawn Maple neck with a Nocaster "U" shape profile, 9.5" fingerboard radius with medium jumbo frets, Custom Shop Handwound Nocaster bridge & Handwound Texas Special neck pickups and a vintage bridge with brass saddles and modern tele wiring with Greasebucket Tone circuit.

A Fender Custom Shop instrument is as good as it gets. You know it when you play one—it’s filled with intangible, electrifying elements that adds a new dimension to your playing experience. It’s as if the instrument itself is imbued with history, and is as close as it gets to an original build Fender from the Golden Era.
