The J-45 is without a doubt one of Gibson's most beloved and iconic acoustic guitars. Its full, dark, and harmonically rich tone has thrilled a myriad of players since its introduction in 1942, and features on countless famous recordings.

This model stays true to Gibson's original vision of an understated, no-frills workhorse, while also featuring a slimmer cutaway body to enable easy high fret access. The solid Sitka Spruce top with Mahogany back and sides preserves the classic tone, and timbre of the standard J-45 - as does the hand-scalloped X-bracing. Similarly, the stunning Advanced Response Mahogany neck, and Rosewood, mother-of pearl inlayed fingerboard, is of the highest quality, and serves to provide excellent playability and definition to the classic tone of this instrument.
