The 2016 ES-335 Premiere Figured brings upgrades in both construction and appearance to a model that is already hugely popular. Highly figured maple top and back look stunning beneath a Faded Lightburst finish, while inside the body thermally treated Adirondack spruce braces and maple centre block enhance resonance for rich tone. An ABR-1 bridge with titanium saddles, a redesigned neck shape, Historic truss rod, MHS humbuckers and other features complete a package that sounds as good as it looks.
The ES-335 Premiere Figured captures that desirable look of the ES-335 of the early to mid '60s. By redesigning the dimensions, Gibson Memphis has improved the strength and playability of the ES-335's necks. Their historic truss rod has no tube, a proven known to enhance the guitar's resonance and sustain. MHS humbuckers capture the most accurate PAF-like tones yet. Durable titanium saddles enhance sustain, presence and clarity and an exotically flamed maple bring a rare and elegant look to this ES-335. Gibson Memphis' labour-intensive nitrocellulose process brings a high-gloss sheen to this beautiful Faded Lightburst finish.
