The Ibanez SR500 is a legendary Soundgear bass! It has been in production for many years and has received the odd tweak along the way without diluting the essence of what has made it so popular. The sleek, smooth satin finish Mahogany body is loaded with a pair of Bartolini MK-1 passive pickups and a semi-parametric 3-band EQ. EQ has selectable mid-range frequency via a three-way toggle switch. The neck is an SR4 shape and is piece Jatoba & Bubinga laminate, giving you a super smooth feel, along with incredible strength.

The SR500 takes this contoured shape and carves it out of warm, woody mahogany, for rich and pleasing tone. The SR500's 5-piece jabota and bubinga neck feels amazing in your hand. And the sculpted body shape gives you great upper-fret access. Oval inlays easily guide you around the rosewood fingerboard so regardless of easy fret access, you'll always know where you are.

This bass doesn't stop at being just a great looker and player, to really make it's mark it has to be a great sounding bass too, and Ibanez know this. That's why it comes fitted, as standard, with Bartolini MK1-4 pickups an EQB-IIIS 3-band EQ. Perfect for dialling in your ideal tone and really increasing this bass's tonal flexibility.
