The beloved British amp company makes their sought-after 70s stompboxes available for the modern guitarist.
Orange have remained one of the leaders in the world of guitar and bass amplification for over five decades. Since founding in 1968, Orange’s roaring amps have been solidly defining the sound of rock and metal. The fact that legends such as Jimmy Page, Geddy Lee, Stevie Wonder, Jim Root, Steve Harris and Glen Hughes favour Orange amplifiers above all others speaks for itself.
Back in the 70s, Orange decided to create effects pedals in addition to their renowned valve amps. The range consisted of three pedals - the Phazer, the Sustain and the Distortion. These stompboxes were the first Orange effects ever made and were lovingly crafted at their Bexleyheath factory between 1977 and 1979. Sporting the same iconic colours as the amps, these pedals would become incredibly rare and sought-after. The Orange Vintage Pedals range faithfully recreates the look and tone of those effects whilst adding useful enhancements such as upgraded internals, LEDs and DC inputs. Finally, those hallowed tones are now available to the modern guitar player.
Every pedal in the range features premium components and low power consumption, making them easy to integrate into your pedalboard’s power supply.

With the Vintage Pedals series, Orange are finally responding to the endless requests and reissuing the three pedals that they made during that two-year run. As part of the process of faithfully recreating these stompboxes, Orange reached out to people who owned original units from back in the day. They also managed to dig out the tea-stained schematics during a spring clean. That valuable information was passed on to Ade Emsley, Orange’s chief designer and technical director, who used it to bring these rare pedals back to life. The combination of having access to the original pedals and Ade’s decoding of the schematics guaranteed total visual and sonic authenticity.
