The PRS Limited Edition 57/08 guitars offer a unique collection of three special models: Custom 24, Singlecut SC245, and McCarty. With only 750 units available worldwide (350 x Custom 24, 250 x SC245, and 150 x McCarty models), each guitar is a hand-signed and numbered masterpiece by Paul Reed Smith on the rear of the control cavity plate.
These limited-edition guitars boast premium features, including an artist pack-graded quilted maple 10 top, lightweight South American mahogany body, Peruvian mahogany neck, Dalbergia rosewood fretboard, Paua rim “J” bird inlays, and the highly acclaimed PRS 57/08 pickups with original '50s wire. An engraved 57/08 truss rod cover adds a distinctive touch.
Exclusive rights to the original pickup wire used in revered '50s pickups were obtained by Paul Reed Smith in 2008. The 57/08 pickups deliver warm, toneful qualities with remarkable articulation, covering the tonal spectrum of vintage and modern tones.
The SC245 and McCarty models feature nickel hardware, non-locking vintage-style ‘Kluson’ tuners, and a milled lightweight aluminum wrap-over bridge/tailpiece. Both models have a wide/fat neck profile and 22 frets.
On the other hand, the Custom 24 boasts PRS 14:1 ratio locking tuners and the PRS modern fulcrum tremolo system with a solid brass trem block and nickel-plated solid brass saddles. All Custom models feature the wide/thin neck profile.
