Lightweight Body Design

The Squier Sonic Stratocaster is based on an iconic Fender guitar that has been admired by guitarists for decades. The body shape’s famous Stratocaster design has a sleek retro-futuristic look that’s elegant, ergonomic and stylish.

The body is made of poplar, which is thin and lightweight for optimal playing comfort. Poplar is known for its balanced sonic character, which is complemented by the brightness and clarity of the maple neck.

Inviting Playability

The neck has a satin urethane back finish that feels smooth and doesn’t get sticky when you sweat. The classic “C” shape profile fits comfortably in your hand and allows you to move your fingers smoothly along the fretboard. The fretboard has 21 narrow tall frets that are perfect for playing chords and bending notes.

Crisp Single-Coil Tones

The Squier Sonic Stratocaster has three ceramic single-coil pickups that produce a wide range of crisp and clear tones. These pickups have been upgraded from the previous Bullet version to match the Affinity series.

Quality Hardware

The Squier Sonic Stratocaster has a tremolo bridge that lets you add vibrato effects to your notes and chords. You can use the whammy bar to bend the pitch of the strings up or down, creating expressive sounds. The bridge also has individual saddles that can be adjusted with the included saddle height wrench to set the intonation and action of each string.

The tremolo bridge also allows you to change the tension of the strings by adjusting the springs in the back cavity of the guitar. You can set it up for a loose or tight feel, depending on your preference. The sealed-gear tuning machines help keep your strings in tune for longer. These tuning machines are protected from dust and dirt and have a smooth action.

Squier offers the Sonic Stratocaster in a range of sleek finishes, including 2-Colour Sunburst, Black, California Blue and Ultraviolet. The 2-Colour Sunburst and Black models feature a maple fretboard whilst the California Blue and Ultraviolet models have an Indian laurel fretboard. A left-handed Sonic Stratocaster in Black is also available.
