This was a replacement for an ageing (and, to be fair, second-hand) Laney RB2. The difference is remarkable. The quality of the Warwick's amplifier is excellent - even with the volume up high, there's virtually no hum, and no feedback if your bass is on its stand in front of the amp. The Warwick's butter-smooth tone controls modify the sound far more effectively than those of the Laney. The Warwick projects lower frequencies beautifully, due I believe to the depth of its cabinet. I intended to buy another Laney, on the basis that the old one was 'OK'. I'm so glad I took a chance on the Warwick, having read some favourable reviews about it. Just so much better, a real quality product. My only niggle: the power switch located low down at the back of the cabinet.
