New from Yamaha for 2018, the DXS-XLF subwoofer range raises the bar with extended low frequency and a maximum SPL of 136dB. Solidifying the DXS range as the best subs in their class, when paired with Yamaha's DZR full-range speakers, you have a match made in sonic heaven and a system of unparalleled power and clarity. 

The DXS18XLF houses a powered 18" subwoofer with a 4" coil, paired with a robust aluminium frame, the DXS achieves a super-low frequency response (30Hz-150Hz), even under the pressure of high output levels. Additionally, the DXS18XLF is equipped with a dual damper that disperses unwanted vibrations to achieve a higher linearity and thus a cleaner sound.

Power is achieved via the DXS18XLF's 1600W Class-D amplifier module and the sub is driven by a 96kHz high power DSP processor. Combined with an FIR filter the result is true high-resolution sound with super low latency. Onboard D-XSUB LF processing places control at your fingertips, NORMAL mode offers a balanced low-frequency response and BOOST mode tightens everything up resulting in more focus and punch.

The DXS18XLF features an intuitive rear-facing LCD screen with a control wheel, through which you have the ability to tweak PEQ, adjust delay and routing parameters, browse through a catalogue of DSP functions and sound presets and more.

Harbouring a vast amount of power, it's surprising to know that the DXS18XLF weighs in at a modest 48.9kg making it lighter than many subs in the same price range, additionally this sub is made for vigorous use both on the stage and in transit, with a Lightweight yet very durable plywood cabinet with premium grade Polyurea coating.
