Yamaha FG700 MS Natural Overview
The FG series features include solid Spruce tops, die-cast Chrome hardware and a unique, non-scalloped X-bracing. An inverted L-block, originally used on the more expensive Yamaha LL6, creates a tighter connection between the body and the neck, and so provides a deeper, fuller low end.The Yamaha FG700MS has a natural satin finish, while the Yamaha FG700S has a gloss finished top, back, and sides. Many consider the thinner matt finish of the FG700MS to project a more open natural tone than a heavy, high gloss finish of the FG700S.
The rosewood bridge is compensated for intonation at the second string, and its larger size should transfer more string vibration to the solid spruce top.
