The Prophecy Les Paul Custom Plus EX has a Mahogany body, with Quilt Maple veneer top that's available in two stunning finishes. Midnight Ebony and Midnight Sapphire. The Mahogany neck has Epiphone's SpeedTaper D-profile, which is super-fast, and a satin finish down the back. Unusually for an LP, 24 jumbo frets with a 14" radius. The 'board also features gorgeous abalone and mother-of-pearl inlays, with matching elegant inlays in the volume and tone controls.

The power of the Les Paul Custom Plus EX comes from its EMG high performance humbuckers. With an EMG 85 in the neck position and an EMG 81 in the bridge position. Both pickups are known for their high volume and high gain excellence and are the staples of the metal world's tonehounds. Player's like Zakk Wylde use them as the core of their chunky tones. But both pickup designs feature Alnico V magnets, so whilst they excel at metal, you can still get a nice, smooth tone too so they can go from '59 to the future, as well as all stops in between.
